This role requires the candidate to work in the South American time zones.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine the best practices for building blockchain applications
- Grow our systems to be best-in-class for efficiency, stability, observability, and scale
- Provide platforms and capabilities that allow development teams to ship code frequently and safely
- Work with internal teams to design infrastructure and develop SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets
- A passion for developing fault-tolerant, high-availability systems
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements, system architectures, and be able to implement these all the way towards production
- Actively communicate with stakeholders and team members on status, limitations, and priorities
- Share knowledge and ideas through clear documentation and diagrams
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a DevOps role
- Experience with DevOps practices
- Knowledge in blockchain technology is mandatory.
- Experience designing, developing, and troubleshooting systems
- Experience with algorithms and data structures, Unix/Linux systems internals, and administration.
- Experience programming in one or more of the following languages: Rust (preferred), Go, C, C++, Java, and Python.
- Experience working with and leading people in developer tools and devops roles.
- Applicants from South America will be preferred.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding (e.g., physics, mathematics, etc.).
- Experience in computing, distributed systems, storage, or networking.
- Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine tasks.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, with effective communication skills and a sense of drive.
- Experience with Cloud Infrastructure, Containers, and automation tools like Terraform and Ansible
- Experience developing and implementing best practices across teams
